Appleton Creamery as you know it will be closing its doors at the end of the season this year.
After 26 years in business, and 41 years raising goats, ill health is precipitating our decision to take it easy and begin checking things off our bucket list. The goats will not be bred this fall, so cheesemaking will wind down. We will sell cheese until it is gone, sometime this winter. The farm is for sale so we can move in town closer to services. The business is for sale separately in hopes someone will carry on our brand. Serious inquiries only. We hope to continue in some capacity with teaching classes (when the COVID danger has passed) and consulting.
Contact us here if you or someone you know is interested in purchasing Appleton Creamery, the business, or a rural farm in Appleton Maine with orchard, vineyard, barn, house and outbuildings.
My husband and I have been interested in starting goat farm and cheese making. We would be interested in talking if the opportunity is still available.
Hi,
Currently the farm and business are under contract. If it should fall through, I will be in touch!
Thanks for asking!
Dear Appleton Creamery, I wish you all the very best! We always enjoyed your amazing cheese and visiting your booth at the Rockland Farmers Market. My family has fond memories of visiting your farm, sampling cheese, and seeing all the peacocks.
Thank you for many years of fabulous cheese and fun!
